Castille Landon - Film Director, Writer & Actor (AFTER SERIES & FEAR OF RAIN)
Sometimes in life, in order to achieve success, you have to create your own path. That rings true when it comes to the ups and downs of Hollywood. One minute your phone is ringing off the hook, then the next minute, you haven’t worked in months or years sometimes.
With that downtime, some people take the initiative and make opportunities happen. One person who definitely fits that mold is writer/director/actor Castille Landon.
Born in Florida, Castille is a graduate of Harvard University and a graduate of the Creative Writing Masters program at Oxford University where she was the only screenwriter accepted.
This amazing woman does it all and has accomplished so much at only 29 years old. The entertainment industry is known to have these big gatekeepers (top producers, casting agents, directors) to be quite established in their careers and to be a lot older. So, for her to have directed, written, and starred in numerous films as a young female is truly inspiring for other young women hoping to break into the industry.
She’s written, directed, and starred in several films such as Albion: The Enchanted Stallion, Apple of my Eye. More recently she is the writer and director of the YA thriller called Fear of Rain starring Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy), Israel Broussard, and Madison Iseman. She also just finished filming and directing the last two movies of the After series in Bulgaria. I actually had Anna Todd the writer of those series on the podcast!
