Today's guest is Brandy Schultz. Brandy is the founder of Adventure Nannies. She founded Adventure Nannies after 8 years of working as a travel nanny. As the original Adventure Nanny, she went cliff diving with kids in Italy, worked on a farm in Southern France, attended Burning Man, and learned survival skills in the Rocky Mountain wilderness. Brandy’s passion for active families and dynamic visionary leadership has propelled Adventure Nannies from its infancy into the high-touch worldwide boutique nanny agency it is today.
In between Brandy’s adventures, she met an aspiring musician, Wesley Schultz, who had recently moved to town and was working as a busboy to make ends meet. They began dating and, as Brandy’s calendar filled up with families trying to hire her for upcoming trips, she saw an opportunity to launch a business and support her musician boyfriend. You may know Wesley from his amazing band, the Lumineers. (Biggest indie/folk rock band in the world).
In this episode, Brandy and I chat about her unconventional journey as an entrepreneur, building a business while being on tour, mid-way through we are joined by her husband, Wes and they talk about the crazy life of being on tour and keeping their relationship alive after 10 years, Brandy ends the episode with some advice she has for aspiring entrepreneurs.
